Sebastian and Paul Fürst farm 21 hectares in Bürgstadt and Klingenberg, where the Main river carves a basin between the Spessart and Odenwald forests, sheltering vines on iron-rich red Buntsandstein. The mild microclimate and weathered red sandstone soils have shaped Pinot Noir at Centgrafenberg and Schlossberg for centuries, with the estate farming organically and using biodynamic practices. The Tradition cuvée draws from younger vines and declassified lots across these sites, fermenting in open wooden vats with a high proportion of whole clusters in Burgundian fashion before extended barrel aging. Expect red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, baking spice, and silky tannins framed by Franken's signature mineral lift.
