White peach, grapefruit zest, salty stone, and a thread of smoke define the glass here, all traceable to Centgrafenberg's iron-rich red Buntsandstein — a primary rock soil with closer kinship to the Rheingau and Nahe than to Franken's typical Muschelkalk. The estate farms organically with biodynamic practices on these terraced Bürgstadt parcels, and whole bunches are foot-crushed, spontaneously fermented, and aged in a single 2,400-liter Doppelstück cask. Bone-dry, with chalky grip and a refined grapefruit finish built for long aging.
