When Napoleon's commissioners classified the Mosel in 1804, Brauneberg was the only site they rated first class — and the Juffer takes its name from three unmarried daughters of a local chamberlain who ran the vineyard a century before that. Richter draws this Kabinett from plots scattered across the hillside's steep grey slate, on vines averaging around 50 years. Left at Kabinett sweetness, it stays light on its feet. Lime, white peach and yellow apple sit over a flinty, crystalline core, with a spicy mineral bite carrying the finish.
