VILLA MAGGIO PINOT NOIR 2021

Pinot Noir rarely shows up in Sicily, and Villa Maggio's certified organic take from the Hyblean Hills is a genuinely uncommon bottling. Red sandy soils at 170 meters elevation in southeastern Sicily drive the grape toward lighter structure rather than the weight the island is known for. Fifteen days of maceration and controlled fermentation are followed by six months in stainless steel, preserving freshness throughout. The result is a ruby-colored wine with raspberry and blackberry aromatics, a lightly tannic palate, and a clean, fruit-forward finish.
