Alberese clay and galestro limestone define the La Selvanella vineyard in Radda in Chianti, where elevation and rocky hillside soils push Sangiovese Grosso toward structure and precision. Fattorie Melini, one of Chianti Classico's oldest estates, produces this Riserva entirely from those 50 hectares, aging it in traditional large oak casks before additional bottle rest.
