Luís and Eduarda Patrão founded Vadio in 2005 in Poutena village, farming 10 hectares organically across 13 separate Bairrada vineyards. This 2014 Baga draws entirely from Vale de Dom Pedro, where clay-limestone soils and Atlantic influence keep acidity sharp and aromatics lifted. Indigenous yeast fermentation and 18 months in used barrels preserve the grape's natural structure without adding oak weight. Expect red cherry, dried herbs, and iron-edged minerality, with bright acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a finish that reflects the limestone's texture.
