Clos de la Hutte occupies the site of a former monastery in the hamlet of La Possonnière, its practicing biodynamic massal-selection Chenin Blanc planted by Boudignon in 2011 directly into solid schist—in places exposed at the surface, elsewhere beneath just 15 centimeters of clay and sand before hitting bedrock. Indigenous yeast fermentation proceeds without malolactic conversion before aging in equal parts 350 and 500-liter barrels at 15% new oak. The 2022 scores 97 points (Vinous): salty, briny, and citrus-driven with seamless texture, a touch of spice, and nutty oak on a complete, light-footed finish.
