The Last Drop Distillers releases fewer than 1,000 bottles per collaboration, and Release No. 37 with Buffalo Trace is among their most limited: 508 bottles total. Master Blender Drew Mayville and Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley hand-selected three barrels distilled between 1995 and 1997, aged up to 27 years in Buffalo Trace's rickhouses in Frankfort, Kentucky, and bottled at 60.9% ABV without chill filtration. The nose leads with seasoned oak, Medjool dates, and dark cherry; the palate moves through caramel, dark chocolate, tobacco, and supple leather, finishing long with dried fruit and oak spice.
