THE EXPRESSIONIST RED BLEND 2020

The Expressionist is a label from Australia's McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley regions, where old-vine Shiraz and Grenache grown on iron-rich red soils and limestone deliver the dark fruit density that defines the blend. White pepper, blackberry, and dark cherry lead the nose, consistent with cool-site Shiraz character. Aged in French and American oak, the wine builds richly on the palate with chocolate and leather mid-palate notes before a peppery, acid-driven finish keeps it from going heavy.
