Te Mata Estate, one of New Zealand's oldest wineries, grows this fruit in Hawke's Bay under sustainable farming practices. The wine sees aging in French oak, picking up truffle and earthy complexity alongside its core of wild strawberry and cherry, with a finish that carries subtle spice and a flicker of dried florals. Tannins are fine-grained, and the structure stays light-footed throughout.
