Founded in 1692, Taylor Fladgate draws fruit for this NV blend from Cima Corgo and Douro Superior vineyards planted on Cambrian schist — the Douro's benchmark terroir for structured, age-worthy Port. Fermentation uses Taylor's proprietary piston technique ("Port Toes"), then halted with grape spirit before full dryness. The wine ages in 630-liter seasoned oak casks, losing roughly 3% annually to evaporation and slowly oxidizing to its characteristic amber. Expect orange blossom and dried fig on the nose, followed by walnut, caramel, toasted almond, and a long, mellow finish.
