TAYLOR FLADGATE 10YR TAWNY

Founded in 1692, Taylor Fladgate is one of the oldest Port houses in the Douro Valley, and its 10 Year Old Tawny is among the category's benchmarks. Grapes sourced from the schist-dominated slopes of the Douro spend an average of ten years aging in small oak casks, where controlled oxidation slowly shifts the wine's color from deep ruby toward tawny amber. The result is smooth and silky — dried fig, ripe berry jam, and butterscotch up front, with a nutty, chocolatey mid-palate and a long, gently warming finish.
