TANQUERAY LONDON DRY GIN

Charles Tanqueray founded his distillery in Bloomsbury, London in 1830; today production runs at Cameronbridge Distillery in Fife, Scotland, where the wheat-based neutral grain spirit is made in-house. The gin is distilled four times in a copper pot still nicknamed Old Tom — the sole still to survive WWII bombing of the original London facility. Botanicals are added via the one-shot method, meaning the final spirit goes straight to bottle without dilution from a concentrate. Four botanicals do all the work: juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, and liquorice root. Dry and piney on the nose with lemon zest, it delivers crisp juniper up front, coriander spice through the mid-palate, and a long finish with light pepper and rooty depth.
