TALISKER THE DISTILLERS EDITION

Talisker Distillery, established in 1830 on the Isle of Skye's western coast, draws water from underground springs and employs wooden worm tub condensers to produce this 45.8% ABV Distiller's Edition that matures in American and European oak before finishing in re-charred Amoroso sherry casks. The 2024 release won a Gold Medal at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, delivering smoke, seaweed brine, and black pepper upfront, followed by dried figs, dates, and sea salt on the palate, with a finish of peat smoke and dark cocoa. The Amoroso cask—a sweeter style of sherry—adds dried fruit richness and subtle oxidative notes that temper Talisker's aggressive maritime peat character while the re-charring process contributes additional vanilla and spice complexity to the distillery's signature coastal profile.
