Suntory's Toki Black builds on the distillery's award-winning Toki blend by incorporating peated malt from Hakushu, situated in the Japanese Southern Alps where mountain spring water and forest humidity shape the distillery's signature character. The 43% ABV whisky combines Hakushu's peated and grain whiskies to create a clear gold spirit with baked apple, oregano, and honeysuckle on the nose, followed by butterscotch sweetness layered with clove, cinnamon, lavender, and toasted rosemary on the palate, finishing with white pepper, ginger, and gentle lingering smoke that balances richness with refined subtlety.
