Summer Dreams is the project of Jayson Woodbridge, whose barrel-selection Pinot Noirs draw from hillside vineyards across the Sonoma Coast planted at 900–1,900 feet elevation in Goldridge sandy loam — a rare, fine-grained soil prized for drainage, sometimes layered over ancient fossil-bearing seabed clay. The 2023 'Super Chill' ferments 100% destemmed whole berries from clones 777, Pommard, and 828 in open-top vessels and dairy tanks, then ages 18 months in new French oak sourced from Chatillonnais, Vosges, and COF forests. Bottled unfiltered, it opens with white pepper and cranberry, moves through strawberry and cherry compote laced with savory spice, and finishes long and polished. 95 points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown.
