STAG'S LEAP CABERNET SAUVIGNON ARTEMIS 2022

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon rarely leans this hard on a single high-elevation source, but the 2022 Artemis pulls 73% of its fruit from Atlas Peak — volcanic, red-tinged basalt soils above 1,400 feet that run 10–15°F cooler than the valley floor during the growing season. The remaining fruit comes primarily from Arcadia Vineyard in Coombsville, rounding out a blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.5% Cabernet Franc, and 0.5% Petit Verdot, aged 15 months in 55% new French oak. The result opens with cassis, boysenberry, and cocoa, carries graphite and tobacco through the mid-palate, and finishes with polished, plush tannins.
