SOUILLARD SYRAH 2022

Two parcels in the Drôme, at the southern tip of the Northern Rhône, are at the center of what Souillard set out to do with this Syrah. Farmed under lutte raisonnée — a disciplined, sustainable approach that limits interventions — the fruit was fermented with native yeasts and partial whole clusters, adding spice and structural grip. Thirteen months in older oak barrels let the variety speak without burying it. Expect dark fruit, cracked black pepper, and earthy undertones, with enough weight to hold against a rich plate.
