Ardmore has distilled peated Highland single malt in Kennethmont since 1898, drawing water from springs beneath Knockandy Hill. Signatory Vintage bottled this cask-strength release straight from a single bourbon barrel (#706483) that previously held Islay whisky — distilled October 27, 2009, bottled September 21, 2020. That secondary cask layered coastal smoke over Ardmore's native Highland peat. Bottled at 56.9% ABV, non-chill filtered with natural color, it opens with medicinal peat, lemon zest, and vanilla, then moves through creamy malt and crushed seashells before a long, ashy finish.
