SIGNATORY VINTAGE ARDMORE 2009 10YR CASK STRENGTH BOURBON/ISLAY CASK

Ardmore, one of the few Highland distilleries producing peated single malt, has operated in Kennethmont since 1898, drawing soft water from springs beneath the Knockandy Hill. Signatory Vintage, founded in 1988, selected this cask from a large 2009 vintage program showcasing Ardmore's distinctive Highland peat character. Distilled October 27, 2009 and bottled September 21, 2020, this 10-year-old single malt (cask #706483) matured in a bourbon barrel that previously held Islay whisky, layering a secondary coastal smoke influence over Ardmore's native pepperiness. Bottled at cask strength 56.9% ABV, non-chill filtered with natural color, it delivers medicinal peat, lemon zest, and vanilla up front, followed by creamy malt, crushed seashells, and a long ashy finish.
