SHIMIZU-NO-MAI SAKE PURE SNOW JUNMAI NIGORI

Akita Shurui Seizoh traces its roots to 1656 and operates near the confluence of three cold mountain rivers in Akita Prefecture, one of Japan's most recognized sake-producing regions. The brewery was the first in Akita to install its own rice-polishing facility. Pure Snow is brewed from Miyamanishiki and Menkoina rice milled to 60% of its original size and left unfiltered, giving the nigori its characteristic cloudy body and texture. It delivers melon, cucumber, and pear on the nose, with ginger, Asian pear, and cantaloupe on the palate, finishing soft-sweet to dry.
