SHIMIZU-NO-MAI SAKE PURE SNOW JUNMAI NIGORI

Akita Shurui Seizoh — whose family breweries trace back to 1656 and consolidated in 1944 — operates at the confluence of three cold mountain rivers in Akita Prefecture, one of Japan's most celebrated sake-producing regions. The brewery was the first in Akita to install its own rice-polishing facility, and Pure Snow, the Nigori selection of the Pure Series, is brewed from Miyamanishiki and Menkoina rice milled to 60% of its original size, left unfiltered to preserve the rice's full texture and weight. Cloudy and rich at 15.5% ABV, it delivers melon, cucumber, and pear on the nose, with ginger, Asian pear, and cantaloupe on the palate, finishing soft-sweet to dry.
