The Sonoma Coast AVA is defined by Pacific-driven fog, dramatic diurnal swings of up to 40°F, and highly variable soils — from sandy and silty loams to rocky marine sediments — that push Pinot Noir toward bright acidity and structural tension rather than softness. Sean Minor, a négociant founded in 2005, sources from growers holding long-term sustainable farming contracts across the region rather than estate vineyards, with consulting winemaker Will Bucklin — a UC Davis enology graduate with time at Châteaux Lafite Rothschild — guiding production. The 2023 Signature Series opens with baked cherry, dark cocoa, and violets on the nose; the palate delivers red fruit, cranberry, and cinnamon spice, finishing with earthy depth and vibrant acidity.
