One of Austria's oldest wineries, Schloss Gobelsburg practices sustainable viticulture rooted in monastic traditions from the Zwettl Monastery, cultivating vines in Niederösterreich's diverse terroir with varied soils and microclimates. This Blanc de Blancs Sekt blends Chardonnay, Welschriesling, and Grüner Veltliner, hand-harvested and gently pressed with only the finest juice used. After six months aging in regional Manhartsberg oak, the wine undergoes traditional method secondary fermentation and three years on lees, hand-riddled before disgorgement. The result showcases creamy texture with bright green apple and citrus notes, subtle brioche, and delicate minerality, finishing with fine persistent bubbles and balanced acidity at 12% alcohol, reflecting authentic Austrian sparkling wine character.
