Jimmy Russell has been distilling at Wild Turkey's Lawrenceburg, Kentucky facility since 1954, making him one of the longest-tenured active master distillers in American bourbon. This store-exclusive private barrel — Barrel 25-0484, rickhouse Tyronne, Floor 4 — was distilled January 18, 2017, aged 8 years, and dumped July 29, 2025 at 110 proof. Floor 4 placement means extended oak exposure throughout maturation. The nose runs pastry cream, caramel, and honey before shifting toward tobacco and leather; the palate delivers vanilla cream, bright cherry, and clove, finishing with toasted oak and cinnamon warmth. Only 180 bottles exist.
