Weingut Rudolf Fürst has farmed in Bürgstadt's Mainviereck region of Franken since 1638, with Sebastian and Isabell Fürst now leading 21 hectares of organic and partially biodynamic viticulture. The Bürgstadter Berg sits on a sharply curved bend of the Main, sheltered by the Odenwald and Spessart forests, with a warm microclimate and red Buntsandstein soils carrying higher loam content on its eastern slopes. This VDP Erste Lage Pinot Blanc ferments spontaneously in burgundy barriques and 500-liter tonneaux (roughly 10–15% new), aging 18 months on full lees plus a second winter in stainless. Expect ripe pear, white peach, citrus zest, hazelnut, flint, and a salty, chalky finish at 12.5% ABV.
