ROYAL TOKAJI DRY FURMINT MEZES MALY 2018

Furmint from a classified First Growth site is rare, and Mézes Mály — one of only two Great First Growths in Tokaj — produces a distinctly finessed dry version. The vineyard sits on volcanic bedrock layered with deep loess, a combination that drives both mineral tension and a delicate floral lift uncommon in the variety. In 2018, a long warm summer brought early ripening; grapes were fermented and aged six months in Zemplén oak barrels. White peach, apricot, and subtle spice come forward, with crisp acidity threading through to a clean, lingering finish.
