QUINTA DE VENTOZELO DOURO TINTO RESERVA 2023

One of the oldest quintas in the Douro, Ventozelo's recorded history stretches back to the 14th century, giving its steep schist-terraced vineyards along the Tedo River a depth of place that's hard to replicate. The 2023 Reserva Tinto blends Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Alicante Bouschet, and Sousão from that same unforgiving schist — thin-soiled, heat-retaining, and brutally well-drained — which concentrates both fruit and structure. Aged in oak, it delivers ripe blackberry, dried violet, and warm spice, with firm but polished tannins and a dark-fruited finish with good length.
