Pine Ridge Vineyards' Chenin Blanc-Viognier blend comes from organically and sustainably farmed vineyards in California's Clarksburg and Lodi regions, where the Sacramento Delta's loamy mineral-rich soils and Mediterranean climate with significant diurnal temperature swings create ideal terroir for developing the honey character of Chenin Blanc and the stone fruit richness of Viognier. Founded by Gary Andrus in 1995 as an experimental bottling, this unique blend marries two varietals that would never share the same bottle in France, with Assistant Winemaker Colleen FitzGerald crafting the wine through careful harvest timing and cold fermentation. The wine delivers crisp honeyed fruit and vibrant lemon-lime acidity from Chenin Blanc balanced with plush body, tropical fruits, and floral notes from Viognier, creating a sophisticated yet approachable expression of California's experimental winemaking spirit.
