PAULO LAUREANO EMA'S VYD TINTO 2022

Twelve months in a mix of new and used oak barrels shapes this Alentejo red, softening the tannins while layering toast and spice over the fruit. Paulo Laureano built the blend around Aragonez, Trincadeira, and Alicante Bouschet, then added Tinta Grossa — a variety rarely seen outside the region — for an earthy, idiosyncratic lift. The result is a medium-to-full-bodied wine with dark plum, dried herbs, and a touch of smoke on the nose, a soft, fresh mid-palate, and a long, spice-edged finish.
