PARADIGM WINERY CABERNET SAUVIGNON OAKVILLE 2021

Founded in 1991 by Ren and Marilyn Harris—whose families arrived in California in 1769 and Napa Valley in 1890—Paradigm Winery farms sustainably and organically in Oakville, chosen in 1976 after Ren's vineyard real estate career revealed the appellation's potential. Winemaker Heidi Barrett has crafted every vintage since 1991, maintaining hands-on operations from vineyard to bottle without outsourcing. This 2021 blends 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, aged 20 months in French oak (one-third new) plus 20 months in bottle. Dark ruby with black cherry, blackberry, currant, plum, savory spice, vanilla, and toasted oak—dense texture, mouthcoating feel, optimum ripeness, and long finish reflect classic Oakville richness and age-ability.
