PARADIGM WINERY CABERNET SAUVIGNON OAKVILLE 2021

Oakville's deep alluvial loam and gravelly benchland soils are the engine behind some of Napa's most age-worthy Cabernets, and Paradigm Winery — farmed sustainably and organically since its founding in 1991 — sits squarely in that corridor. Heidi Barrett has made every vintage here, blending 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, then aging the wine 20 months in French oak (one-third new) followed by 20 months in bottle before release. Expect black cherry, blackberry, currant, plum, savory spice, vanilla, and toasted oak on a dense, mouthcoating frame with a long finish.
