O'Shaughnessy Estate blends 92% Cabernet Sauvignon with Malbec, St. Macaire, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc from three sustainably farmed sites: Howell Mountain (35%) delivers structure and ripe red fruit from volcanic soils above the fog line, Mount Veeder (33%) adds savory minerality and firm tannins, while Oakville (32%) contributes silky texture from valley-floor alluvium. This 2022 spends 21 months in French oak, yielding 15.2% alcohol with aged leather, black currant, blackberry, and cocoa powder flavors—smooth entry, moderate tannins, and a long finish that balances mountain intensity with valley elegance.
