O'Shaughnessy Estate blends 83% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Carmenere, and St. Macaire from three sustainably farmed Howell Mountain vineyards—Amphitheater, Rancho del Oso, and Osprey's Nest—originally planted in 1997. At elevations above the Napa Valley fog line, the mountain's volcanic soils and exposure produce concentrated fruit with firm tannins and natural acidity. This 2021 spends 21 months in French oak, yielding 14.8% alcohol with intense dark berry, mountain herb, and mineral character that defines Howell Mountain's distinctive high-elevation terroir.
