This 2025 Birthday Bourbon marks the 25th annual edition released September 2nd honoring Brown's birthday, drawn from 210 barrels distilled April 5, 2013, aged 12 years in Warehouse K on floors 1 and 5, and selected by Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris and Assistant Master Distiller Caleb Trigo using an unprecedented sweet mash fermentation process with freshly propagated yeast rather than traditional sour mash setback. Bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV, lower than typical releases at 97+ proof), the bourbon showcases cardamom, citrus peel, green apple, vanilla, toasted oak, sweet clove, charred oak, pipe tobacco, brown sugar, and baking spices with a silky sweetness and lighter body that reflects Kentucky's limestone-filtered water and climate-controlled aging conditions.
