Monteleone's Etna Bianco draws 100% Carricante from two distinct volcanic sites: eastern slopes at 800 meters with pure volcanic sand and ash, and northern terrain at 500 meters blending volcanic soils with clay-limestone from the Alcantara River's influence. Vines planted between 2008-2019 employ traditional Alberello and Guyot training methods, harvested manually at dawn. Six months on fine lees with weekly bâtonnage develops vibrant citrus blossom and white peach aromatics with saline minerality and subtle almond notes. The palate offers crisp green apple and Meyer lemon flavors accented by chalky volcanic stone, while racy acidity and a textured mouthfeel lead to a persistent, mineral-driven finish that captures Mount Etna's high-altitude elegance.
