Calcareous clay soils and a continental climate define the vineyards around Labastida in Rioja Alta, where warm days and cool nights concentrate Tempranillo's fruit while preserving acidity. The grapes come from Unión de Cosecheros de Labastida, a cooperative founded in the 1960s that now unites 175 growers across this sub-zone. Aged in American oak, the wine delivers ripe red cherry, plum, and vanilla on the nose, with a smooth, medium-bodied palate, soft tannins, and a finish that carries light spice and dried herbs.
