Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc fills a lot of shelf space, but few bottles come from a working estate with vines in the ground since 1988 — the Glover family converted their fourth-generation dairy farm on Dillons Point Road into a vineyard after Owen sold the herd, and winemaker Ben Glover now runs the operation. The Dillons Point site sits just 3km from the sea along the Opaoa River, with fertile Kaiapoi silt loam soils that temper Marlborough's characteristic intensity. Fermented in stainless steel, the wine delivers pithy lemon, lime, passionfruit, and rock melon, with lemongrass pulling the fruit back to earth on a weighty finish. Certified sustainably farmed under NZ Sustainable Winegrowing standards.
