Central Otago's cool climate shapes Loveblock's Pinot Noir at 13% ABV, farmed using the organic, low-impact principles Erica and Kim Crawford established after founding this passion project following their namesake brand sale. Big ripe black cherry, mushroom, and toasty oak spice lead to fleshy black plum, cherry layers, and sweet berries with violet and savory notes in bright crimson color. Bright red fruits with savory mushroom layer transition to sweet strawberry, finishing with balanced drying tannins and brooding complexity that lingers—Kim's winemaking expertise showcases Central Otago's terroir through what the Crawfords call "naked terroir," letting the vineyard speak without manipulation from their Marlborough base where they returned to New Zealand wine after nine years.
