Gravelly loam soils on the western edge of St. Helena give Lewelling's Wight Vineyard its textural richness — the well-drained alluvial material limits vine vigor and concentrates fruit through the growing season. Lewelling has farmed this Napa Valley site since 1864, making it one of the valley's oldest continuously operated family estates, now in its eighth generation. The Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in French and American oak barrels, building structure alongside the site's natural density. Expect dark cherry, blackcurrant, coffee, and clove, with a full-bodied mid-palate and a long, spiced finish.
