LEOPOLD BROTHERS 8 YEARS OLD CASK STRENGTH STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY FINISHED IN THREE CHAMBERS RYE BARRELS

Todd Leopold revived the three-chamber still — a 19th-century American design largely extinct by Prohibition — and built one at his Denver distillery specifically to produce the rye distillate that now finishes this bourbon. Aged eight years in a dunnage-style warehouse with earthen floors, the whiskey is bottled at cask strength without chill filtration. The mashbill runs 65% corn, 20% floor-malted barley, and 15% rye, and the finish in used three-chamber rye barrels adds sweet grain and graham cracker alongside the core candied apricot and orange marmalade character, with retained oils giving notable texture.
