Galestro soils and elevations between 450 and 520 meters define the Le Potazzine vineyards in Montalcino, where altitude-driven temperature swings preserve acidity and natural ventilation reduces disease pressure on organically farmed Sangiovese. Le Potazzine, established in 1993 and now guided by Gigliola Giannetti's granddaughters Viola and Sofia, ferments with indigenous yeasts and ages in Slavonian oak casks. The Rosso di Montalcino 2021 delivers bright cherry, red plum, and dried herb aromas, with fresh red fruit on the palate, earthy undertones, and silky tannins on the finish.
