Aging in large Slavonian oak casks — standard for serious Brunello — is the backbone of this Le Potazzine 2017, drawing out Sangiovese's structure without overwhelming the fruit. The estate's high-elevation vineyards in Montalcino helped preserve freshness through an unusually hot growing season, producing a wine with wild berry, cherry, and plum aromas alongside crushed flowers and light spice. Bay leaf and cured tobacco add savory depth on the mid-palate, while the finish carries the firm tannin and earthy grip Brunello is built on. Around 16,000 bottles were released.
