Paso Robles sits on a high-elevation limestone plateau where warm days and cold nights build structure into Rhône varieties without stripping their fruit — and L'Aventure has worked this terroir since Stephan Asseo arrived from Bordeaux in 1998. The 2020 Côte a Côte blends Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre into a velvety, full-palate wine with dusty stone, wild blueberry, and lavender on the nose. The mid-palate delivers cascading red and black fruit, spiced through the finish with grippy but fine tannins that signal genuine cellaring potential.
