Champagne is the only appellation where non-vintage blending is a deliberate art form, and Lanson has practiced it from a base in Reims since 1760. Black Label draws from a rotating selection of crus — including Dizy, Verzenay, and Trepail — blended with reserve wines spanning up to 20 vintages. Notably, Lanson skips malolactic fermentation, preserving natural acidity that gives the wine its signature crispness. Expect green apple, citrus zest, and brioche on the nose, with a clean, minerally finish and lively mousse throughout.
