Lanciola's estate in the Colli Fiorentini has crafted wine since 1587, when the Ricci family paid church tithes in wheat and wine from these rolling Impruneta hills outside Florence—today the Guarnieri family continues this legacy across 80 hectares of galestro clay and limestone soils characteristic of Tuscany's elevated terrain. This Vin Santo follows ancient tradition: Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes are dried for months, concentrating sugars before slow fermentation and extended barrel aging that develops amber complexity.
