Lanciola's estate in the Colli Fiorentini has crafted wine since 1587, when the Ricci family paid church tithes in wheat and wine from these rolling Impruneta hills outside Florence—today the Guarnieri family continues this legacy across 80 hectares of galestro clay and limestone soils characteristic of Tuscany's elevated terrain. This Vin Santo follows ancient tradition: Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes are dried for months, concentrating sugars before slow fermentation and extended barrel aging that develops amber complexity. The wine glows intense gold with old-gold crimson hints, releasing aromas of dried apricot, candied yellow fruit, acacia honey, orange peel, and yellow flowers, while the palate unfolds silky, sweet, and rich with persistent candied fruit and a refreshing finish that balances the wine's luscious character—Tuscany's legendary dessert wine perfected.
