Lagavulin has operated on this site since 1816, and its 16 Year Old is the flagship expression of slow maturation in oak, drawing out layers that balance the island's intensity with remarkable structure. Expect dense peat smoke upfront, then seaweed, dried fruit, and dark chocolate, with a long, warming finish of sweet wood and brine.
