Kings County's 45% ABV Peated Bourbon uses Scottish-grown, peat-smoked malted barley in an American bourbon mashbill—51% corn minimum—aged in new charred oak barrels in Brooklyn's Navy Yard warehouses. The hybrid delivers bourbon's caramel and vanilla from new barrel aging with barbecue and campfire smoke from the peated malt, creating a double gold medal-winning spirit that bridges Kentucky and Islay traditions. Brooklyn's humid, fluctuating temperatures accelerate barrel interaction compared to Kentucky, while the peat smoke—measured in phenol parts per million like Scotch—adds earthy, medicinal notes atop the corn's sweetness and oak's tannins for a unique flavor profile unavailable in traditional bourbon or scotch categories.
