Dark plum, crushed black pepper, and blue flower dominate the glass immediately — the kind of layered intensity that emerges from Tuscany's warm 2019 growing season concentrated into Syrah from Isole e Olena's estate in the Chianti Classico zone. Paolo De Marchi farms these vines with close attention to site, and the cooler hillside elevations in Panzano temper the vintage's heat, preserving freshness against the wine's considerable fruit weight. Aged 18 months in barrique — French oak primary, with a small percentage of American oak and one-third new barrel — it lands with creamy texture, integrated tannins, and a long finish of stone and spice.
