IDDA ETNA BIANCO 2022

Tomato leaf, cantaloupe, and quince open this Carricante-based white before honey and a yeasty, doughy undercurrent pull it into more complex territory. IDDA is a joint venture between Angelo Gaja and the Graci family, drawing from 50 acres on Etna's southern slopes across Belpasso and Biancavilla, at elevations between 2,000 and 2,600 feet. The volcanic soils and altitude range deliver the mineral-laced, savory finish the wine is known for. On the palate, yellow plum and pineapple ride a sleek acidity through to a clean, lingering close.
