The Herzog family's winemaking legacy traces to 1840 in Slovakia, where Menahem Emanuel Herzog founded a winery that eventually earned a royal commission to supply wine to the Austro-Hungarian court. Now in its ninth generation, Herzog Wine Cellars produces the Be-Leaf Cabernet Sauvignon from CCOF-certified organically farmed vineyards in Paso Robles, with no added sulfites. Paso Robles' calcareous soils and daytime temperatures topping 90°F, tempered by cool ocean breezes off the Santa Lucia range each evening, yield a Cabernet with wild blueberry, black raspberry, and boysenberry aromas, a cherry-driven mid-palate, and silky tannins. Certified kosher and mevushal.
