Herradura operates from Casa Herradura in Amatitán, Jalisco, the last true tequila-producing hacienda, where they pioneered reposado tequila in 1870 and continue hand-harvesting estate-grown Blue Weber agave from the volcanic soils of the Tequila Valley. This Reposado ages 11 months in charred American white oak barrels—exceeding industry standards—developing rich amber hues and 49 awards since 2006. The extended barrel rest yields cooked agave sweetness layered with vanilla, butter, and warm anise notes, finishing smooth with subtle spice that complements spicy cuisine, smoked meats, and pork, whether sipped neat or mixed into premium margaritas and palomas.
