HERDADE DOS COELHEIROS ROSE 2025

The 2025 is a lighter, paler bottling than the vintage before it — closer in weight and color to a Cinsault rosé from Provence than to most of what the Alentejo sends out. The vineyard work explains it: Syrah grows at 300 meters on a northwest-facing slope beside the Arraiolos stream, an aspect that keeps fruit out of the worst afternoon heat, while Touriga Nacional comes off clay-sandy ground at the Cabido Vineyard. Herdade dos Coelheiros is a certified organic 800-hectare estate at Arraiolos, farmed on regenerative principles by Alberto Weisser and Gabriela Mascioli since 2015. Soft, dry, gentle, low-impact.
